Yes, you read the name of the movie right. It is literally titled Fuck My Son!. Adapted from the Johnny Ryan comic of the same time and directed by Todd Rohal, the film follows an elderly mother (Robert Longstreet) who kidnaps a single mother and her daughter (Tipper Newton & Kynzie Coleman) and takes them both back to her place in the middle of nowhere in hopes that the mother will do what the title suggests.

To start, it is not a film for everyone. It does not help that the film uses AI imagery scattered during the film. It is not only distracting, but also I question why not use actual artists to help make the film. Unlike films like Terrifier and Saw which rely on over the top gore, Fuck My Son! is more in line of the exploitation vomit and human grotesque side of the genre. Again, not a film for everyone so if it is something you can stomach, and I am shocked I was able to sit through the entire runtime, I wish you luck.
Director Todd Rohal uses a lot of the humour from the move to push the boundaries of what is funny and acceptable to why do people find this funny. A lot of it for me did not work, solely because I am not the target audience for the movie. Without spoiling, I found myself more shocked at the boundaries pushed than laughing. For the plot it is quite literally insane, yet so quickly fast-paced which gets you from point A to point B, that once you settle into the obscure insanity and get used to what is going on, the next obscure insanity occurs right at that split second. Most of the obscurity of is unpredictable due to the sheer amount of insanity that the film showcases.
I do have to give credit when credit is due, the makeup special effects for Fabian (Steve Little) was perfectly gruesome and fitting for the film’s tone. Another shoutout to stars Robert Longstreet and Tipper Newton, who portray their respective characters as the overbearing elderly mother and single mother to its best. Longsteet channels one hell of an over the top performance as one insane mother who just wants her son to get laid, and Newton channels a potential scream queen performance to escape the insanity that is unfolding.
Fuck My Son! is a movie that pushes the boundaries of what can be seen and what audiences find humorous. A grotesque dark comedy fueled by some of the most over the top sequences ever put to screen. It is a movie not for me, which is okay, however, if this is your cup of tea, that is okay.
